Will GA4 see it?
Paste a UTM-tagged link. You'll see which Google Analytics 4 channel it lands in, the reason, and a fixed link if it lands in Unassigned. Free, no signup.
That example is a real mistake: it lands in Unassigned. Swap in your own link.

Want tags that are right the first time?
We're opening up LinkMasher, the Smart UTM Maker. Tell it in plain words where a link is going ("LinkedIn post about the spring launch") and it writes GA4-safe tags, makes a short link, and keeps every link in one log with its click count.
The mediums GA4 knows
GA4 sorts a tagged visit mostly by utm_medium. Use one of these and the visit lands where you expect.
| Use this medium | GA4 channel |
|---|---|
social | Organic Social |
paid-social or cpc | Paid Social when the source is a social site on Google's list (facebook, instagram, linkedin, twitter, tiktok, pinterest, reddit and hundreds more). Paid Other when it isn't. |
cpc or ppc | Paid Search when the source is a search engine (google, bing) |
email | |
referral | Referral |
affiliate | Affiliates |
video | Organic Video |
audio | Audio |
sms | SMS |
display or banner | Display |
Anything else (community, newsletter, blog, organic-social, post) only works if the source happens to be on Google's list. When it isn't, the visit lands in Unassigned and your report can't tell you where it came from.
